A Simple Girl in a Complex World

Well everyone it has been a very long time since I’ve posted and ALOT has happened since the last post which happened to be about me venting about hating the army for not allowing us to plan a wedding! Well guess what we got them back! We’re getting married in DECEMBER! Yeah thats right you read it we are getting married in 9 months! I’m so excited and have already gotten so much done! We decided to do this because we just could never tell when he would be home and when they would deploy him so we chose December 20th while he’s home on Christmas Exodus!

I have already booked the church, reception site, photographer, and catering. I have also ordered my dress which should be here on June 28th! I’m on the hunt for a bridesmaids dress that I like and our save the dates are being made as we speak, I’ve made cards for all my girls in the bridal party and mailed them off and should have their replies within a couple of days!  So basically all I can do for right now is done and all I have to do is wait till August to do other things!

I”m getting boudior pictures done for Jonathon for his wedding gift and I’m oober excited about these just gotta get tan and in shape first and find some cute things to wear! My photographer offered me this or a trash the dress session in exchange for engagemnet pictures which we cant have done obviously because he’s there and I”m here so our friend down there is going to take pictures for us when I go down there this summer!

In other news I’ve just been really busy with school and wedding stuff, my parents got a new puppy his name is Jake and he’s so cute! I’ll post a picture of him soon!

I’m going to make a wedding blog and will post the link on here when I have it set up! Any advice you married girls have for me would be great! Once again sorry I’ve been such a slacker!

Good lord have mercy girls I swear my teachers ALWAYS know when I have a big trip coming up! I have so much stuff to do this week before I leave on HOPEFULLY Saturday if I can get off work! Everyone cross your fingers my boss can pull something out of his sleeve!

Lets see I got my 12 essay (Luckily not 16 like last time!) exam done just a few minutes ago and it’s turned in, now I just have to wait on the grade I got a 105 out of 100 points possible last time, so hopefully I do just the same this time! I have a perfect grade in that class right now! YAY ME!

I have to finish my 50 question communications midterm and decide on a topic for my informative speech, by the way what person in his right mind gives an exam over speeches!? Owell hopefully I’ll be able to pull my grade up in there because well it’s not as good as the other.

I have 2 chapters of study guides to do for my anatomy test on thursday and probably have things to do for the lab on Tuesday. Ugg this list is getting longer!

I have to get my FAFSA for financial aid done before I leave and gotta get a package returned tomorrow and hopefully my roomate’s boyfriend can fix my cigarette lighter so I can use my GPS (or else I’ll never get to AL without it I dont trust Mapquest to save my life!)

On a sadder note J. is getting sick, which makes me sad, he’s doing so well with classes though and he’s supposed to go to his “dunker” class tomorrow but if he’s sick he wont be able to do it because of the pressure it could mess him up pretty bad, so they’ll probably push that back and which will delay his last class before “contact” with the “little bird”

OH OH and to answer your question Megan, he’s not “commissioned” yet, he’s a Warrant Officer which is still an officer which take their orders from the El Presidente’ and all that jazz but they get “commissioned” once they reach Cheif Warrant Officer 2 which he should get by the time he comes home from flight school, in the next year or so! I hope that answers your question! I’m not real sure about it exactly maybe I’ll make him explain it to me again while I’m down there! Oh I got so excited though the other day I was on the phone with him when he was going through the gate and the woman who let him though said “goodmorning officer how are you today” I got so excited and giggly because that was the first time I’d ever heard anyone call him officer! LOL ok I’m definately rambling! I’ll stop now!

As you can see I’ll be pretty busy all week with school and work but I’ll keep writing leading up to my trip! Everyone keep your fingers crossed I get Saturday off!

Hey everyone I know that I havent wrote a new post in awhile now! I apologize I’ve just been uber busy with school they always swamp you right before spring break! I despize them for this and I’ve recently began to hate school, I really wish I was done but to my demise I am not! Shew!

Speaking of spring break! Only 8 days until I get to see my honey again! I’m so ecstatic its not even funny! I’m also excited because my parents who are highly over protective have finally realized that I am 21 years old and they need to let me go and grow up! I am getting married next year after all and so yeah they arent happy that I’ll be going all that way by myself but there isnt much they can do about it and I appreciate all the girls that gave me such great advice!

I think with this trip alone I will have LOTS of time to think about things and just relax which I havent had a chance to do in about 2 months! So it will be nice! I hope to bring back lots of pictures from my trip and I’m also on the hunt for a cute bikini I havent bought a new one in like 3 years so I think it’s time for a new one thank goodness for the VS mix and matches! I saw one on Le Petit Chic’s blog that is REALLY cute I wonder if she’d let me steal the idea!? The bandue top will be good for my small boobies! LOL! I hope to come back and say I’m engaged I’m engaged I’m engaged in true Monica Gellar fashion!

I will most likely post a few more times before I leave so this will not be my last post before SB 08′! I have been keeping up with you girls blogs so dont worry I havent forgotten about you all!

Ok I have to admit, I’ve never ever been one for Monday’s they are always the hardest after a weekend of sleeping in and having to get up and go to work or school or even both! Which I never get to sleep in anymore since I work every day BUT Sunday! But since starting this semester of school I’ve come to realize Tuesday to me is the new Monday! I offically HATE Tuesday’s with a purple passion! I mean granted I still have to get up and do things and go to work on Monday’s but Tuesdays are just horrible!

Take this morning for instance…. I get up at 6:30AM go downstairs to have my bowl of cereal (I’m tellin you what I can’t wait to get rid of all of this cereal I’ve been working on it for a while now! I need something new sorry side tracked) and find that there werent any clean spoons! Great!! Now what?! So I look in the dishwasher and find a spoon and hand wash it which takes like 2 minutes out of my regular morning routine and sets me off completely! So I have to run around getting ready, the only thing good I do for myself to save myself time is to pack my lunch and book bag the night before so all I have to do is grab it. Thank God for that! I get out of the house at about 5 til 7 and find out that they have closed down the gas station close to my house so I have to go down to the next one which is fine I like that one too! I have to put fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank which I’ve never done before and spend $35.00 on gas (WTF!? I hate gas prices! But that’s for another day) But I tell ya when I got in the car to start it for the first time I was scared my car was going to explode (I’m not smart about cars I didnt know any better!) The car didnt blow up and I made it to school safely in pouring down rain! Oh yeah forgot to mention the rain didnt I? Yeah it had been tourentual (sp?) down pour since about 3 AM and the streets were flooded and I almost hydroplaned on the way to the gas station! I handled it though! YAY ME!

Anyways! I get to school and I was about 3 minutes later than I normally am and I miss out on my great parking spot that I like that is nice and wide so I can just open my doors as far as I like and everything but it was gone so I had to get in a normal one (darn it!) that wasnt the worst part really I go to my first class we are in there for about 40 minutes (an hour and 15 minute class) and then I just go and sit outside the room for my next class which I had worked really hard trying to get all of my stuff done for last night because the teacher said it would have to be turned in and we all had it done and ready and were all proud of ourselves for having it done and SUPRISE guess what we didnt have to turn it in! We were all needless to say angry! Owell maybe next time! I now have more worksheets to have done Thursday gah! So much school work to do! It’s outrageous!

But now I’m at work and I’ve been since about 1:30 and I dont offically start until 3PM so I was trying to waste time until it was time for me to start my shift and that just dragged on forever! My shift started about an hour ago and I still have 4 more hours! AHH! It is the never ending day I swear! I was going to be good when I came in early and do my Medical Terminology homework but much to my demise I did not complete one single chapter nor did I even crack open the book! I’ll get to it…..eventually!

 Anyways I feel like I’m rambling so I’ll stop if you’ve made it to the end of this longggg blog I’m sure you can now see why Tuesdays are now offically my new Mondays!

Oh and 6 days until I see my love! YAY!

Alright I filled out a survey this morning while I was being lazy which asked ” have you been bothered today” at first during that point I had not been bothered, but now I”m thinking I should go back and change that answer! Because guess what now I am bothered!

I am an easily bothered person! I come in to work hoping to be able to get some work done and I guess that is just not going to happen! I have this stupid woman in here who doesnt know how to do jack shit on a computer! She used to come in all the time last semester and didnt know how to do anything I’d constantly have to go over and “fix” or “do” something for her! Well guess what!? Now she expects me to do her math homework for her! Guess what lady thats not my job! I’m  here to help out people with their computer problems on things such as word or powerpoint I dont do it for them I basically show them how and make them do it themselves! She has prohibited me from being able to get anything done! I have to read a chapter or two in my communications and study for a quiz in Anatomy!

UGG! I guess I’m just in a pissy mood today with all that is going on! If you want to know what I mean by “all that is going on” you can ask me for my password for the post below “a vent” and you can go read about it! If not thats ok too because I just wrote that to make myself feel better and to get it out! But if you really are that interested in reading I’ll give you the password!

Ok I’m done for tonight! Hope everyone is having a better night than I am!

I have come to realize there are so many things I love to do but I dont have enough time to do them in! It really makes me sad!

For instance I love to scrapbook and photography but since I started college I’ve barely been able to touch the stuff. It really is sad! I have so many more things I want to take pictures of and could scrapbook but I have no time to do it in!

 I also love to cook and I’m trying to perfect my skills right now but once again I really dont have the time to make a nice meal. Even on the weekend!  My breakfasts’ consists of cereal or anything quick like pop tarts or maybe sometimes I toaster stroodle (love those things!), lunches are anything once again I can make quick like a sandwich I prepare the night before and throw it in my lunch box before I leave that morning along with some chips a drink a couple of bottles or water and some fruit gummies. Dinner well dont even get me started on it! Tonight my dinner was a bowl of shells and cheese! How unhealthy is that?! I really want to eat healthier and exercise, but once again I dont have time! I’m doing well with water! I drink 3 bottles of water (1.5 liters which is recommended to me for my body weight) and only have one dr.pepper a day! I used to drink like 5! So I give myself kudos for that!

The point I’m trying to make is I have no time to really do the things I REALLY want to do!

There are a few things I (barely) have time for here they are:

1. School

2. Sleep

3. Homework

4. Work (which most of the time I do my homework while at work!)

5. Eat (quickly)

6. Shower

That is my life. I sometimes have to force time just to be able to write J. letters! He loves them so much so I feel bad if I go too long before writing him one! So I try to atleast 1 or 2 times a week.

What are your hobbies that you dont have time for but REALLY wish you did?

LOL well as you guys can see I was busy with my little list down there & also I’ve YET to clean the bathroom go figure I hate cleaning the bathroom YUCK! This week has been full of suprises both good & bad (well not necessarily bad).

Monday was good I got lots done & start back to work after the long break! Tuesday I started back to school and that was good too. It was great to see all my friends and start a whole new semester it’s kind of like a fresh start! But while I was sitting at work on Tuesday the guy who works before me I guess saw my ring and said “as your FIANCE’ would say” I never said anything about him being my fiance or anything to anyone; but I also didnt say anything about him not being my fiance! LOL ! It took me aback and I kind of had to in my head think “what?!” It was funny but it also made me smile. In case you guys didnt know J. bought me a fake ring (but a really pretty fake one that I can actually fool people with obviously!) for our one year and told me to wear it to “keep guys from hitting on me” not that I have that problem but hey just in case! Today was good just worked and was kind of lazy (shame on me) I just could not sleep last night with all this wind and these storms going through! I seriously thought my house was going to fall in!

But the main event of today is: MY CAMERA IS HERE! YAY! I’m so excited I cant wait to get it in my hands! It’s currently at my parents house because I didnt want it delivered to my house because I’m not always around and I would probably miss the dilivery delaying it even longer or if they left it by the door it could get stolen (I dont live in the nicest city) not that my place of living is dangerous but I just dont trust anyone!

My job informed me today that I am now getting Federal Work Study money which means they are helping me out! I’ll basically be getting paid by both people! YAY! Not that I’ll be getting paid any more but owell!

And now I come home to find my roomate cooking (which doesnt happen very often honestly) and go to tell her we need to send our checks for mortgage to J. (he’s my land lord LOL) and she starts telling me she is not going to pay WTF where does she get off thinking that!? She says she offered to pay J. for december & january in november but he wouldnt take it ok thats understandable that he wouldnt! I dont know! I know I’m gonna pay my half she can hold off on hers if she wants but I dont think I’m gonna do that! I love my boyfriend & want him to keep loving me! Money is a very touchy subject with him! He doesnt like to owe people money and doesnt like when people owe him money and dont pay him! This should be interesting!

Well my head is in a million different places right now! I have so much to do and so little time to do it in! So in my regular fashion I’ll make a list! Everyone knows I love lists!

 1. Clean the bathroom

2. Seperate laundry

3. Do laundry

4. Put the laundry away

5. Get books for school

6. Make a cooking/cleaning schedule

7. Go grocery shopping

8. Talk to boss about my 3 days off in Feb.

9. Write Jonathon a letter & Drop it in the mail

10. Sort old mail

11. Call school to tell them Mom is picking up one book

12. Dont procrastinate and do all my work on time!

13. Take out the trash

14. Print out syllabi for online classes

15. Write & send out thank you cards from Christmas

Lets see if I get it all done!

*Edit: I’m on a roll today! Not only do I have most of my list done; but I’ve done a few extra things!

A. Cleaned the garbage out of my car

B. Checked my oil and put in a quart since it was low

C. Cleaned out old files from my jump drive

D. Did a full system virus scan on my computer

PS: My camera has been shipped YAY! It says expected delievery is Jan. 11th but I’m thinking it will be here earlier! So I’ll definately be taking pictures this weekend! YAY!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Well as I said it is Saturday and what am I doing?! Sitting here at work! I’ve been here since 8:45AM and been up since 8AM! IT’S SATURDAY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! Well you know I really shouldnt complain so much, as I said in my previous post; I have one of the easiest best jobs I could ever ask for! After all, what job would honestly allow you to sit here and blog to millions of people and play on myspace all day or even just do your homework rather than making you do some mundane task that doesnt get you anywhere? I love my job! It is helping me further my education while allowing me to pay my bills! How freakin great is that!?

Anyways! It’s looking ot be a busy day/weekend/week ahead for me! Lets take a look at this list of “to do’s” shall we?

Today:
Work 9-3PM
Possibly have lunch with a couple of friends(?)
Go get my hair cut!
Go to parents house to spend the rest of the weekend
Write the boyfriend a few letters!
Take some pictures for certain projects
Do something for me (what I like to call “me time”)
*Homework*
1.Do anantomy chapters 3-4 reviews along with other pages assigned
2.Study for anatomy test on Thursday
3.Read all I need to read to be able to complete my Developmental Psych quiz
4.Four sections of math homework still left to be completed by Wednesday
5.Take home math quiz to be completed by Thursday
6.Two sections of typing lessons to do (one due Monday the other Thursday)

Now that is just today! Mind you I do not have to get all of that homework done today! Just in a reasonable amount of time to have it all done by the due dates, but to also allow me a substantial amount of time to study for my anatomy test!

All in all it’s not so bad! I have plenty of time to get all of this done, the math home work is not due until the end of October, but that doesnt mean I can slack on it. As I also said in my previous post I’m a HORRIBLE procrastinator and if I put something off I’ll either have to rush to do it or it wont get done at all or it will be less that substantial work! I am trying to put my procrastinating ways behind me, we’ll see how this goes!
